Gloss 170gsm Throughout
Our 170gsm A4 Portrait Booklets are printed full colour on gloss 170gsm paper using our lithographic press. Once printed they are bound to make a booklet using our Horizon Booklet maker which staples in two positions on the spine then folds the pages.
The 170gsm paper we print on is from FSC approved sustainable woodland.
The prices listed on the right include the cover in the number of pages Eg. 8 Page Booklet is a cover and 1 inner sheet, 12 Page Booklet is a cover page and 2 inner sheets.
If you require a thicker cover we also produce Booklets with a 300gsm Cover.
We can only produce A4 Portrait Booklets, unfortunately we cannot produce A4 Landscape Booklets
Booklet Design Information
We need artwork for booklets to be layed out in a printers spreads ready for printing, ie. each page needs to be correctly imposed so that when the booklet is printed and collated together, your pages will run in the correct sequence.
You can easily work out the correct sequence by making a blank dummy of your booklet beforehand using sheets of blank A4 paper, fold them together to form a rough booklet, number them 1 to however many pages your booklet will contain with the front cover being page 1.
When you then separate the pages and unfold them you will get the correct order that your pages will need to be in to form printers spreads. Please also visit our templates section where you will find templates with the correct page numbers in the correct order.
If you're designing your booklet in Adobe InDesign (CS2 or above) you can automatically impose your booklet into printers spreads, simply go to the file drop down menu and select 'print booklet'. Don't forget to add 3mm bleed to each edge of your booklets spreads.
